Day 3 of our 80-mile walk from Catterick to Glossop, and we have now passed the 50-mile mark. All of our legs and feet are feeling it today and we are burnt to a crisp thanks but we ready to take on 20 miles of day 3. Please support us by signing our petition, we need to reach 100,000 signatures to have a debate in parliament to get Daniel’s Law on the statute book.
We are walking for Danielle. We are walking for all the people that have been knowingly left to die. We are walking for justice. We are walking so that no family has to endure what ours has.
Danielle died after being left alone in immediate danger, during a moment of extreme distress, in the aftermath of a violent argument. Despite the circumstances, the law offered no accountability for the failure to seek help. That is why we are campaigning for Danielle's Law, a new legal duty to act when someone's life is at immediate risk.
This walk is about raising awareness, demanding change and supporting those affected by domestic abuse. We are proud to be raising funds for Women's Aid and working alongside FAITH - 'Families Acting for Immediate Threat Help'
Every mile brings us closer to Glossop and closer to the change Danielle deserved.
